COURSE DESCRIPTION: This is the North Carolina Real Estate Commission's 2022-2023 Broker-In-Charge (BIC) Update course for the renewal period July 1, 2022 through June 10, 2023. Topics discussed include:

All BIC/BIC Eligible brokers must take the Broker-In-Charge Update course.
Important Note: If a BIC or broker who is BIC-eligible takes the General Update, CE credit will be given, but BIC status/eligibility will be lost.

COURSE MATERIALS: Student Manual will be provided via Canopy Campus prior to start of course. For In-Person Courses Only: You will be provided with hard copies of the Student materials on the first day of class.

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT: You are required to attend 90% of this class. Students cannot make up missed time due to lateness or absences. Students should ensure they can attend the required classroom hours before registering for a class.

COMPLETION & PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENT: You will not receive credit for class time and participation if you fail to adhere to the policies outlined in our Policies and Procedures Disclosure.

COURSE CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING: Canopy Real Estate Institute reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses that have not yet begun as needed. Our minimum enrollment requirement is ten (10) students. Students enrolled in a rescheduled or cancelled course that has not yet begun will be given a minimum of 24-hour notice of the cancellation or new course schedule. Students will have the option to reschedule to another course or receive a full tuition refund, if applicable. Students who cannot attend the rescheduled course date(s) have the option to be counted as absent, reschedule to another course, or receive a full tuition refund.

Canopy Real Estate Institute DOES NOT provide refunds for continuing education courses. You may withdraw from a course by giving written notice to the school prior to day of course. In such event, you will be rescheduled to a future course or registration placed on "hold" status. Courses due to transfers, rescheduling or registration "holds" must be completed on or before June 10 of the same license period and CANNOT be applied to another license period.
