COURSE DESCRIPTION: Financing Dreams: Creative Lending Programs of the N.C. Housing Finance Agency (NCHFA)

This course provides in-depth coverage of programs offered by the NCHFA and their partners to assist Realtors® and their clients. Learn about property and buyer eligibility, qualifying incomes and home prices and how to use these lending opportunities to make home buying a reality for their clients. Gain an understanding of how and when each specific program can be used to offer their buyer the greatest benefit.

This course is approved for four hours of NCREC continuing-education elective credit. The course also fulfills the core class requirement on creative lending for the Canopy Housing Foundation's Workforce Housing Certificate Program (WHCP).

COURSE MATERIALS: Student Manual will be provided via Canopy Campus prior to start of course.

Arrangements must be made for request by pickup at our office. Canopy Real Estate Institute is located at 1120 Pearl Park Way, Charlotte, NC 28204and open Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4pm, excluding holidays. 

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT:  You are required to attend 90% of this class. Students cannot make up missed time due to lateness or absences. Students should ensure they can attend the required classroom hours before registering for a class.

COMPLETION &PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENT:  You will not receive credit for class time and participation if you fail to adhere to the policies outlined in our Policies and Procedures Disclosure.

COURSE CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING: Written notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling seven (7) days prior to course. A $25 cancellation fee will be applied. Registrations canceled after seven (7) days prior to course will be nonrefundable.

Canopy Real Estate Institute reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses that have not yet begun as needed.  Our minimum enrollment requirement is ten (10) students. Students enrolled in a rescheduled or cancelled course that has not yet begun will be given a minimum of 24-hour notice of the cancellation or new course schedule.  Students will have the option to reschedule to another course or receive a full tuition refund, if applicable.  Students who cannot attend the rescheduled course date(s) have the option to be counted s absent, reschedule to another course, or receive a full tuition refund.
