Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) Designation
Beginning Monday, March 2nd, 2026, 9am-4:30pm
TUITION FEE(S): $329.00 (Members); $479.00 (Non-Members) - 5 Course Bundle
COURSE DESCRIPTION: The Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) course curriculum offers you hands-on experience with international real estate transactions, as well as five full days of study focusing on the critical aspects of transnational transactions, including: Currency and exchange rate issues, cross-cultural relationships, regional market conditions, investment performance, tax issues and more! All courses are facilitated by Aldo Iemma, CIPS and Samira Easton, CIPS.
To be eligible for the CIPS Designation, you must complete 5 courses as outlined below. The designation application must be submitted within 3 years of beginning your courses. Any courses completed more than 3 years prior to the submission of your application must be retaken to receive credit towards the education requirement of the designation.

- Monday, March 2, 2026 - Global Real Estate: Local Markets - offers 4hrs of NC Elective credit
- Wednesday, March 4, 2026 - Global Real Estate: Transaction Tools
- Friday, March 6, 2026 - Global Real Estate: The Americas and International Real Estate
- Monday, March 9, 2026 - Asia/Pacific and International Real Estate
- Wednesday, March 11, 2026 - Europe and International Real Estate
IMPORTANT NOTE: Audit fees are available for participants who wish to attend as a refresher and do not need credit reported. Individual course fees are also available for those who prefer not to register for the full 5-course CIPS Institute bundle. Please call 704-940-3152.
The North Carolina Real Estate Commission does not approve, endorse or certify any specialty designations in conjunction with course approval. NCREC only approves the course for CE credit. Students should check with the education provider regarding the accrediting body of any designation.
COURSE MATERIALS: Due to NAR's provisions, course materials for the CIPS courses will be made available the day of class only. Materials will be provided in your Student Dashboard for download via Canopy Campus prior to start of course.Hard copies may be requested via canopyreinstitute@canopyrealtors.com and made available for pickup after each class has been completed.
ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT: Students are required to attend 90% of this class. Students cannot miss more than 36 minutes of total class time or make up missed time due to lateness or absences. Students should ensure they can attend the required classroom hours before registering for a class. Students cannot use the allotted 10% to leave the class early.
COMPLETION & PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENT: Students will not receive credit for class time and participation if they fail to adhere to the policies outlined in our Policies and Procedures Disclosure.
COURSE CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING: Canopy Real Estate Institute reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses that have not yet begun as needed. Our minimum enrollment requirement is ten (10) students. Students enrolled in a rescheduled or cancelled course that has not yet begun will be given a minimum of 24-hour notice of the cancellation or new course schedule. Students will have the option to reschedule to another course or receive a full tuition refund, if applicable. Students who cannot attend the rescheduled course date(s) have the option to be counted as absent, reschedule to another course, or receive a full tuition refund.
Students may cancel five (5) business days prior to the course start date, Monday, Feb 23, 2026, for a refund minus a $75 admin fee. After the deadline, tuition CANNOT be refunded. Course holds are not available, as this course will not be offered again in the immediate future.
