*As of July 1, 2024, if you're a non-resident with a real estate license in South Carolina, you now need to take CE courses that are specifically approved by South Carolina, rather than using CE courses from your home state to satisfy SC requirements. These courses need to be offered by SC-approved providers and meet the standards set by the South Carolina Real Estate Commission.
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course will help you gain an understanding of how the global economy impacts your local real estate market and prepare you to serve international clients and customers in your local market. Topics Covered: Monitor trends and indicators of the global economy, including flow of capital, and the impact on local real estate markets. Synthesize market trend information into meaningful knowledge for business plans and decisions. Recognize the growing knowledge base of international prospects and clients. This course is facilitated by Aldo Iemma, CIPSand Samira Easton, CIPS.

The North Carolina Real Estate Commission does not approve, endorse or certify any specialty designations in conjunction with course approval. NCREC only approves the course for CE credit. Students should check with the education provider regarding the accrediting body of any designation.
COURSE MATERIALS: Due to NAR's provisions, course materials for the CIPS courses will be made available the day of class only. Materials will be provided in your Student Dashboard for download via Canopy Campus prior to start of course.Hard copies may be requested via canopyreinstitute@canopyrealtors.com and made available for pickup after each class has been completed.
ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT: Students are required to attend 90% of this class. Students cannot miss more than 36 minutes of total class time or make up missed time due to lateness or absences. Students should ensure they can attend the required classroom hours before registering for a class. Students cannot use the allotted 10% to leave the class early.
COMPLETION & PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENT: Students will not receive credit for class time and participation if they fail to adhere to the policies outlined in our Policies and Procedures Disclosure.
COURSE CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING: Canopy Real Estate Institute reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses that have not yet begun as needed. Our minimum enrollment requirement is ten (10) students. Students enrolled in a rescheduled or cancelled course that has not yet begun will be given a minimum of 24-hour notice of the cancellation or new course schedule. Students will have the option to reschedule to another course or receive a full tuition refund, if applicable. Students who cannot attend the rescheduled course date(s) have the option to be counted as absent, reschedule to another course, or receive a full tuition refund.
Students may cancel five (5) business days prior to the course start date, Monday, Feb 23, 2026, for a refund minus a $75 admin fee. After the deadline, tuition CANNOT be refunded.Course holds are not available, as this course will not be offered again in the immediate future.
